PGSOB 4XI (C) Vs Ashmoor C

A very frustrating game. Poor conditions were no real excuse for giving the ball away too frequently and often going for the hopeful ball rather than keeping possession. The only goal of the game (from a short) should not have been allowed as the initial shot hit Isaac on his raised hand before ballooning up and into the goal.

On the plus side -James parsons stepped up a notch again -and injected well at short corners. Joe Easterbrook continues to develop well, Toby and Owain Acharya were both solid at the back and their decision making was excellent. Jude was a constant threat up front and recovered well from being given a green card.

The objective for the game was keeping the ball out of contact -which we failed to do. It remains a clear obstacle to progress and needs to be the focus for the next few weeks.

Fish deserves a special mention for offering to play as soon as his 2nd team game was off. Then volunteering to umpire as we only had one. he was also very entertaining in the pub -a great club member. (He may also be appearing on The Chase at some point in the future!!!!)
